Overview
ShipShark processes buyer checkout data on behalf of merchants and stores merchant account data needed to operate the service. This page explains how to request deletion when you no longer need us to retain specific records.
Buyers (shoppers)
Order fulfilment, refunds, and delivery updates are handled by the merchant you purchased from. Contact that store first for order-specific requests.
If you checked out on a ShipShark-powered store and want ShipShark to delete buyer profile or address data we hold for that phone number, email hello@shipsharklogistic.com with:
- The phone number used at checkout (including country code).
- The merchant store name or domain, if known.
- Approximate order date, if applicable.
We may need to verify ownership of the phone number before deleting records. Some log and order metadata may be retained where required for fraud prevention, accounting, or legal obligations.
Merchants
Active merchants can update account details through onboarding and admin tools. To close an account and delete merchant-held data:
- Email hello@shipsharklogistic.com from your registered work email.
- Include your merchant name, store domain, and publishable key prefix if available.
- Confirm you have exported any reports you need โ deletion is irreversible after the retention window.
We delete or anonymise merchant account data after resolving open invoices and any legal retention requirements, typically within 30 days of a verified request.
What we may keep
Even after a deletion request, we may retain minimal records where required by law, to resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or meet tax and accounting rules. Aggregated or anonymised analytics that cannot identify individuals may also be kept.
